A warm welcome to our cattery ‘Klaas-Points’.
We live in Bad Bentheim in Niedersachsen, close to Muenster. We have
been breeding Maine Coone Cats since 1993 and started breeding Balinese
and Siamese in 2003. I got my first Balinese due to the death of my
best friend, Michaela Dohm. She died of breast cancer in 2003, and left
a very successful cattery of oriental cats: ‘vom Wunderbau’. ‘Arktis
vom Wunderbau’ has infected me with the Siamese virus.
Our cattery is
focused on elegant Balinese in the traditional colors – with and without
tabby pattern. White Balinese are very rare – our breeding plans of
2006 will include this exquisite color.
In order to
improve the appearance, we also interbreed Siamese and variants.
Therefore, sometimes short-haired kittens are available.
All of our cats
are family members and live together with us in our house and
garden. They never get caged. ‘Klaas-Points’ cats are raised with a lot
of love and attention. Our cats leave us with blood tests, vaccinations
(feline
enteritis, feline respiratory disease and chlamydia)
and health certificates. They will not move on to their new owners until
they are 14 – 16 weeks old.
In order to
distinguish our cattery from dubious breeders, we registered our
breeding with the vetenary office of the county of Bad Bentheim. We
passed the breeding examination and got the official permission for
breeding cats in accordance with chapt. 11 of the animal protection law.
